Laboratory Fitout and Demolition

:: Independent Monitoring Consultants
:: October 2012
QVS was engaged by IMC, a Sydney based consultancy that provides independent sampling and testing services, to renovate their workspaces—particularly their laboratories. QVS was briefed to demolish existing workspaces (including a large brickwall) and to fitout IMC’s laboratories. It was particularly important that the company’s business not be impeded in any way, so QVS was asked to have all potentially disruptive demolition and construction work carried out outside of working hours. From partitioning and flooring to fit out and mechanical operations, the client leaned upon QVS’s wide-ranging experience and expertise.
Full laboratory fitout and demolition work, including the following: project management of ceiling replacement, demolition of blockwall with nightly clean up (all demolition and cleaning work completed outside of working hours); make good of block wall ends; demolition of existing partitions and installation of floor-to-ceiling insulated pasteboard partitioning to create new lab area; installation of new timber stairway; demolition and removal of existing flooring; installation of new epoxy flooring; installation of new laboratory benches; demolition of existing ductwork and installation of new fire-rated and flexible ductwork; plasterboard dress up of existing steel columns.
