The Model Care Specialist Centre is a state-of-the-art pediatric clinic that specializes in the care of infants, children, and adolescents. A key requirement for this fit-out was ensuring optimal acoustic integrity in the consultation rooms, in order to provide a quiet, private space for both patients and practitioners. To meet this need, each consultation room was constructed with the following acoustic treatments:
Double Layer of 13mm Soundcheck Plasterboard: This was applied to the walls to ensure superior sound isolation.
Wave Bar Installation: A layer of Wave Bar was placed between the plasterboard layers to further reduce sound transmission and increase acoustic performance.
Acoustic Baffling Above the Ceiling: Special attention was given to sound absorption above the ceiling to minimize noise disruption from adjacent spaces.
Door Seals: High-quality seals were installed on doors to prevent sound leakage during consultations.
Acoustic Carpet: The flooring was finished with sound-dampening carpet to reduce noise and enhance the overall acoustics.
Cushion Boxes in Air Diffusers: The addition of cushion boxes within the air diffusers helps to minimize airborne sound transmission between rooms.
These acoustic measures ensure that the consultation rooms are not only comfortable and private but also provide a quiet, distraction-free environment, enabling pediatricians to focus on delivering the best care for their young patients.
